All equipment is provided, no booking is required and all rides are run by friendly and qualified cycle trainers. All you need is comfy clothes and a waterproof jacket.

Bikes For All

In partnership with BikePlus, Wheelbeing is now running a ground breaking socially inclusive project Bikes for All. This programme is working in deprived neighbourhoods, particularly focusing on encouraging women and people from ethnic minorities to cycle through confidence boosting road skill sessions and wider community engagement.

Bikes for All is aiming at tackling inequalities by providing low cost access to bikes and reducing barriers to cycling for first time riders by offering Nextbike People make Glasgow yearly memberships for just £3.

Youth Wheelbeing

  

The Youth Wheelbeing project is aimed at young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 to help increase their physical activity and mental wellbeing, by introducing cycling into their everyday lives. We are working in partnership with youth organisations to set up self-sustaining cycling groups run by young people. We support them to access a bike and the project includes a City & Guilds mechanic qualification and ride leader training.

Cycling as a means of transport is one of the easiest ways to fit exercise into your daily routine. It’s a low impact sport which gets you fit whilst putting very little stress on your joints. Plus, it can save you money and is good for the environment!

Our Wheelbeing team helps people to improve their health and cycle more by supporting communities and organisations to set up self-sustaining cycle groups and organise open social rides. We can also help with Nextbike subscriptions for those without bikes.
