Join our free cycling activities for asylum seekers and refugees in Glasgow.
The free New Scots cycling programme includes:
- Cycle training (learn to cycle & build your confidence and skills)
- Bike maintenance sessions (fix your own bike)
- Day trips around the West of Scotland (spend time in nature)
All activities are free and all equipment needed is provided (including bikes and helmets).

Summer sessions will be based more outdoors and include rides and lessons, including day-trips around the west of Scotland to spend time in nature.
As winter sets in, we will shift to more indoor sessions and begin to focus on developing mechanical skills, putting people through bike maintenance training courses.
Cycling activity schedule – Summer 2024 – Glasgow
Here is the schedule for our free cycling activities for refugees and asylum seekers in Glasgow:
- Monday and Wednesday – 2.30-4pm – Learn to cycle & build your confidencen and skills
- Tuesday – 2-4.30pm – Fix your own bike (for people who know how to fix their own bikes but don’t have the tools)
- Once a month – Day trips – Come explore Scotland by bike with us.
All activities are free and all equipment is provided.
