Whether you’re eager to build your own bike, go on a fun cycle, learn to ride, or develop your mechanic skills, we have something for everyone.
It’s a great way to learn new skills, do something fun and make friends.
Feeling shy? Our facilitators are really friendly and will make sure you feel welcome and comfortable.
Most activities are for 16-24-year-olds.
Wednesday Rides – 16-24 year olds
Are you aged 16-24 and looking for a new adventure? Discover the joy of cycling in Glasgow ‘s Southside. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, come and pedal with us on Wednesday afternoons.
Explore scenic routes, learn new skills, and make friends along the way.
No experience necessary – we welcome everyone!

Fix your own bike – 16-24 year olds
Know how to fix your bike but don’t have the tools at home?
Come and use our work-stands and our tools, buy new and used parts and get support from our mechanics and volunteers if you get stuck or need advice.

Bike mechanic programme -16-24 year olds
The programme is an opportunity for young people to learn how to train as a bike mechanic through volunteering at Bike for Good. You will play a crucial role in upcycling donated bikes through disassembly, component salvaging and rebuilding, contributing to a circular economy and saving bikes from landfill.
At the end of the programme, you will take part in a 2-day Cytech Technical 1 Bicycle Technician training and assessment. You will receive an accredited certificate.
- Volunteering: 8 weeks, 1 day per week, 4 hour sessions
- Training: Cytech Level 1 accredited qualification provided
- Employability: Enhanced employment prospects, training and practical qualifications
After the 8-week programme. participants will be encouraged to continue volunteering with Bike for Good to enhance their skills and pursue additional training such as Ride Leader and Cycle Trainer qualifications.
