Got the knowledge and skills to maintain your bike yourself but don’t have the tools and the parts to do so?
Our ‘Fix Your Own Bike’ (FYOB) workshop is a space for do-it-yourself repairs and maintenance where you can rent a workstand, use our tools, and have mechanics and volunteers advise you through the process while you do the work.
We have a wide range of new and used parts to help you keep your bike on the road.
Fix Your Own Bike will be restarting on a trial basis from Thursday 6th August at the South Hub only. Entry must be booked in advance, and FYOB will run from 5pm – 8pm.
Appropriate safety measures will be in place including gloves, and we ask that you bring your own mask. We are starting the trial with workstands outside in order to minimise risk of infection, so please dress appropriately.
Please note you are fixing your own bike, therefore an appropriate level of mechanical ability will be needed for these sessions. Otherwise please book in for a repair.
Currently appointments are only available one week in advance so don’t panic if it says there are no appointments this month. This allows us to review and adapt the timing and bookings. Feedback welcome.
