Got the knowledge and skills to maintain your bike yourself but don’t have the tools and the parts to do so?

Our ‘Fix your Own Bike’  (FYOB) workshop is a space for do-it-yourself repairs and maintenance where you can rent a workstand, use our tools and have certified professional mechanics and volunteers help and advise you through the process while you do the work.

We have a wide range of new and used parts to help you keep your bike on the road.

Entry is based on a first come first serve basis. Under sixteen-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Glasgow West

Our FYOB space is now run on a donation basis at our West End shop. We don’t think anyone should be excluded from fixing their bike, and no one will be turned away due to a lack of funds.

Wednesdays: 16:00 – 20:00 (last entry at 19.00)

Saturdays: 10.00 – 16.00 (last entry at 15.00)

Glasgow South

Due to geographical funding, FYOB Workstand Rental is free at the Southside Hub, as is the use of a stand, tools, lubes and expert advice.

Thursdays: 17:00 – 20:00 (last entry at 19.00)

Please note

You are fixing your own bike, therefore an appropriate level of mechanical ability will be needed for these sessions. If you think you are not skilled enough yet, then we welcome you to sign up for one of our group or One-to-One Maintenance Classes. There is a class for every ability and they are designed to enable a progression to each level.
