Originally from Derbyshire, with a stop-over in Manchester for around a decade, Matthew has lived in Glasgow now for 7 years. Since arriving in Glasgow he has rediscovered a love after making a commitment to try and create a better environment for his daughter. He commited to active travel and has replaced most journeys to be cycle journeys.  

Matthew’s role as a Management Consultant has seen him work in many different sectors (including Retail, Finance, Utilities & Logistics) mainly focusing on Strategy creation and Process Improvement.

Matthew is the most recent addition to the board of Bike for Good and was attracted to the organisation after experiencing first hand the excellent service delivered by many of the services offered on his journey back into cycling and an instant connection to the goals and values.

Lecturer in Accounting
Yingru came to Glasgow for study in 2010, and is now a lecturer in Accounting.
Yingru is interested in not just numbers and calculations but also how calculations are accomplished and their implications.
She is passionate about making business more ethical and responsible.
After joined Bike for Good as a trustee in 2018, Yingru says it has been amazing to see how the organization grows and develops; and how it manages to overcome challenges and makes an impact in the community.

A highly experienced and effective senior leader of commercial and procurement, Nick has a successful and extensive track record of implementing commercial transformation  programmes, which deliver significant value for money benefits and continuous improvements in operational delivery. Following over 25 years within the private sector specialising in procurement, commercial and project management, in roles across the UK, USA, Australia and Spain, Nick joined the public sector as part of HMG’s Commercial Functional Leadership Group. Spending 8 years as Head of Commercial and Procurement at the Department for International Development, he is now Director of Procurement and Property at Scottish Government.With a passion for the development of both people and the profession, Nick is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Previously a CIPS Regional Chair and regular keynote speaker at conferences, Nick continues to encourage learning for improved practice, including as an active mentor for Procurement and Commercial professionals. He is a keen cyclist, having competed in both mountain bike and road bike races. Ideally his daily commute is by bike, and his holidays and weekends are spent exploring new places on  cycle-touring expeditions and drinking good coffee. Being a Trustee for Bike for Good enables Nick to combine his professional experience with his hobby.
